The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced $3 million in new funding through the Cybersecurity for Small Businesses Pilot Program. This initiative, led by Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman, aims to enhance cybersecurity for startups and emerging entrepreneurs by awarding three grants to state agencies for training and support.

With small businesses comprising 99.9% of U.S. businesses and employing nearly half the private workforce, this funding is crucial for national economic security. Applications are open from July 2 to August 2, with grants ranging from $1,000,000 to $1,045,000 for a 24-month period ending in September 2026.

Eligible state and territorial government agencies can apply to provide tailored cybersecurity services. This effort builds on the nearly $9 million awarded since 2022 to bolster small businesses against cyber threats.
